This is an experimental1 directory of crime research published in the last week by the academic journals that I monitor.
I'm Aaron Jacklin, and this is Explaining Crime, an independent newsletter that helps you explain crime to your audience.
This directory of new crime research2 is intended as a tool for journalists and advocates to find research local to them, but I hope it'll be useful beyond that audience.
The currently supported countries reflect the audience of Explaining Crime as I understand it; be sure to let me know if you live outside the supported countries and I'll prioritize3 supporting your location next!
N.B.: This is a beta release.

Expect some categorization errors!
Studies were published in the last week and may appear in more than one place in the directory depending on which regions they reference. For readability, I omitted any states, provinces, or territories that I didn't match with any studies.
I wrote and use simple code to help organize the studies and create this templated directory. Studies were categorized based on a mention in their title or abstract of the country, respective provinces, states, or territories, or large, currently supported cities. Future editions of this directory will get better as I improve the underlying code and provide support for other countries.
