The week in crime research, organized by geography
This is a directory of crime research published in the last week by the leading academic journals that I monitor
I'm Aaron Jacklin, and this is Explaining Crime, an independent newsletter that helps you explain crime to your audience.
This directory of new crime research is intended as a tool for journalists and advocates to find research local to them, but I hope it'll be useful beyond that audience. I plan to publish it every Friday.
The currently supported categories are: Canada, United States, and Other countries. This reflects the audience of Explaining Crime as I understand it; be sure to let me know if you live outside Canada or the United States!
This is a beta release.
Total studies: 34
Studies simply listed under a country only referenced that country in their title or abstract. When provinces, territories, or states are absent, I didn't match any studies to them this week.
I’m not sure how this post will appear in email, so it might be better to view it in the Substack app. Let me know?
