As found in one of the studies in this week's Crime Research Update: Crime Stage Edition
Welcome to The Art of Explaining Crime, the independent newsletter that helps you think and write about crime.
Use this tip sheet to help you integrate the latest research into your work. It’s a directory of new crime research published by the academic journals that I monitor. For example:

Really appreciated seeing the drug harm misalignment study foregrounded here. I've been tracking similar policy-research gaps in other domains and the multi-criteria decision analysis framework is solid for exposing these disconnects. Honestly feels like a lot of the delinquency research listed in the corrections section ties back to thi broader theme of evidence resistance in policy design.
